Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy
The top management of New Derrick Drilling and Workover company (NDD), is committed to ensuring that all its operations are performed safely to avoid accidents and incidents and protect our employees or the public from any harm to their health, as well as keeping the environment around our operations safe from any impact.
The contractors or subcontractors who will perform any operations under the supervision of (NDD) have to follow the same HSE roles and procedures.
We will consider any actions that conflict with our HSE policy as a violation of the rolls of the Health, Safety, and Environment, and the responsible party will be exposed to the necessary action to stop similar actions from happening in the future.
To implement this policy properly at all the NDD’s premises, the company’s management will maintain the following:
Develop a plan for training and awareness of the risks and hazards at the workplace and the importance of safety, health, and the environment in the workplace.
Preparing a safety, health, and environment management system according to local and international laws and regulations.
Train the employees, as well as the contractors and subcontractors, on all procedures related to their business and implement this procedure at the workplace.
Carrying out a program to detect, and analyze the risks and develop appropriate solutions to remove or reduce them to the permissible limit.
Providing appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing for the works carried out within our operations, according to the specializations of their tasks and businesses
Providing the proper equipment to carry out the work with proper protection of the employees and ensuring that their health is not exposed to occupational risks, as well as the protection of the environment surrounding the workplace from any pollution impact.
NDD's Approach to Social Responsibility
- Comprehensive Standards: NDD has established Social Responsibility (SR) standards that govern its business operations and projects. These standards likely outline best practices and ensure responsible conduct.
- Risk Management: The standards identify potential social responsibility risks and impacts associated with NDD’s activities. This proactive approach helps mitigate negative consequences.
- Staff Empowerment: NDD prioritizes providing resources to its SR staff, enabling them to effectively carry out their duties. This ensures proper implementation of the SR standards.
Transparency and Accountability:
- Reporting: NDD commits to transparent reporting. SR/CSR activities and data are communicated to relevant stakeholders, including:
- NDD Leadership: Keeping senior management informed about SR efforts.
- NOC (HSE/SD Departments): Sharing information with relevant departments responsible for
Health Safety, Environment, and Sustainable Development. - Libyan Regulatory Bodies: Ensuring compliance with local regulations regarding social responsibility.
